Couture for a Cause 2012

Couture for a Cause is an annual fundraiser to benefit Activate Good, a volunteer center which services over 80 non-profits in Wake County. Designers are chosen through an application process. Once designers are chosen, they are paired with a non-profit partner and create two designs that embody the non-profit: a ready-to-wear and an art-to-wear/couture. The designs are sold in a live auction. This year I was paired with Futures for Kids whose purpose is to help students figure out what they want to be at a young age and provide the tools and resources needed to achieve their dreams. For this show, the Couture design you see won first place and the R2W sold for the highest bid of the night.
